River barge journeys

The Dordogne is a beautiful river to gently meander down in a traditional French barge. Take a picnic of fine French produce and wine and sit back and relax as you're taken along the Dordogne in a Gabare, a traditional Dordogne boat.

Originally used to transport wood down-river to Bordeaux for the production of oak wine casks, the Gabare will sometimes race along its course through gorges, and sometimes meander along for you to enjoy the scenery.

	For £12 per person, you can even listen to stories of Dordogne legends, whilst tucking into French cheese, meat and bread.
