From the airport to the chateau by car
You can hire a car at the airport and we will send you detailed directions on how to get to the chateau from there. It will take approximately 1.5 - 2 hours drive from any airport listed to Chateau de Cautine and the roads are excellent with very little traffic.
From the airport to the chateau by taxi, train & bus
Catch a taxi from the airport to stations (Limoges, Rodez, Bergerac or Toulouse) and from there, go by train to Brive. Visit Rail Europe site for details. From Brive, you can catch a bus to St Privat – we can pick you up from there as it is 5 minutes from the chateau. Click here for the bus timetable from Brive to St Privat:

By Train
If you enjoy travelling by train, Brive is just 4 hours from Paris-Austerlitz, which coupled with the Eurostar service from London Waterloo to Paris Gare du Nord means you can travel from London to Brive in around 8 hours. For those wanting a more relaxed drive, motor rail runs from Calais to Brive from May to October- put your car on the train in Calais on Friday evening, spend the night in a cabin on the train, and wake up in Brive the next morning, just 45 minutes drive from our chateau!
